I have been thinking a lot this last week. Not in a “resolutions and big promises” kind of way. But in a quieter, more honest way. This stretch of days I have off because I work in education feels like a pause. A deep breath. A moment to look at what I have been carrying and decide what actually deserves to come with me into 2026.
The new year does not magically fix anything, but it does offer us something powerful. A clean page. A chance to wipe the slate, not by erasing the past, but by choosing differently going forward. Choosing what matters. Choosing where our energy goes. Choosing who and what helps us grow instead of drains us.
The end of the year and this next week is about reflection for me. About asking hard questions. About noticing what made me feel grounded, creative and alive and what didn’t.
Then being brave enough to let some things go. Not with anger or blame, but with gratitude for what they taught me.
I don’t want to carry everything into the new year. I want to carry intention. Presence. Growth. The things that make me better.
Here’s to using these final days not to rush forward, but to align ourselves with the life we actually want to live.
