dear me

Dear Me,

I know you’re tired.

Not just the kind of tired sleep fixes.

The kind that settles into your bones after carrying everyone else while quietly trying to hold yourself together too.

I know you replay conversations in your head like old game film.

Breaking down every word.

Every silence.

Every look.

Trying to figure out where things shifted.

But listen to me for a second.

You are not failing because you feel deeply.

You are not broken because connection matters to you.

And you are not weak for wanting to be seen without having to explain every inch of yourself first.

You’ve spent so much of your life being the steady voice.

The storyteller.

The encourager.

The one making sure everyone else feels valued while you quietly wonder if anyone notices when you’re unraveling.

They do.

Even when your mind says they don’t.

There is still softness in you after all of this.

That matters.

There is still wonder in you.

Still poetry.

Still the part of you that notices sunsets in parking lots and finds entire universes hidden inside ordinary moments.

Don’t lose that trying to survive.

The future you keep worrying about?

You don’t have to solve all of it tonight.

Just keep showing up.

Keep loving people the best you can.

Keep learning where your boundaries end and your heart begins.

And maybe most importantly,

forgive yourself for being human.

You’ve carried guilt like it was proof you cared enough.

It isn’t.

Growth will ask things from you.

So will love.

But neither one requires you to hate yourself in order to earn them.

One day, you’re going to look around at the life you fought to build and realize something:

you survived every version of yourself that thought he wouldn’t.

And that deserves more grace than you’ve been giving yourself lately.

Love,
Me
